Best Californian Restaurants in Dublin

I am so excited for Downtown San Jose after dining at Eos & Nyx. This restaurant is top notch and I cannot wait to go back. It is in the old moving theatre building and it just gave the whole corner new life! The decor is warm and inviting while also being contemporary. The service was amazing. We never had a dirty plate or napkin on our table for more than five minutes. The food? The food is the best I've had in the South Bay since Alexanders in Cupertino 15 years ago. My husband had the NY Strip and I had the pork chop. Both were 5 stars. Their cocktails were the best we've had in a while as well. The couple next to us ordered a pasta dish and a side of their mushrooms and cleaned their plates as well. The amuse bouche, pallet cleanser and dessert samples were a delightful surprise. The only slight negative was how loud it is inside. I love having music but it made it hard to hear the servers. Maybe turn it down a notch. We are already planning when we can go back!

My family and I enjoyed this restaurant very much! My sister loved all the vegetarian options. I ordered the grilled salmon salad which was delicious. We felt like we were in a lovely European cafe. They have a separate menu that includes tasty desserts. They serve lovely water in jars that includes lemon and sprigs of mint. Our server was also helpful, responsive and kind! I highly recommend giving this restaurant a try!

New management and what appears to be, all new servers. Our waiter was not very familiar with the menu, indicating this was his second day on the job. I miss the old wait staff who I became very friendly with (Chelsea in particular) and the manager, Haven. Being a long standing and frequent customer, I am adopting a wait and see attitude toward how things may change, most noticeably the menu that I have loved and whether or not I develop a rapport with the wait staff. We really don't need another Chinese restaurant in Danville, so hopefully the menu with a few changes, will remain the same, rotating dishes depending on the season.

We were back to Commis after 8 years and it did not disappoint! Great, state of art food! We will definitely be back again, hopefully sooner!
