Best Burmese Restaurants in Belmont

The host and bartender couldn’t be bothered to be welcoming at all. The food was great. The nearby streets feel like a zombie apocalypse at night.

Exceptional food. Best Calamari ever. We have eaten at Burma Love twice now and the food does not disappoint. A noisy child at the next table (tables are close together) did distract from the tasteful and beautiful setting. Service was spot on.

Teakwood is one of my favorite places to eat in SF. A slightly different menu than Burma Love but many of the same favorites such as the samosas and tea leaf salad. Located near the Civic Center and theatre district, it’s perfectly walkable to Davies and SF Jazz for pre-show dining. Highly recommend reservations.

We decided to try new things and ordered the lotus chips Very tasty with tea leaf aioli which we loved, along with the Tea Leaf Salad which is the most interesting and delicious salad on the planet! The staff took great care of us, advised on a few choices on the menu which turned out to be beyond great, Delicious and a pleasure to try! We had the broccoli with garlic, the Chicken and Shrimp, the Ruby Shrimp too and the food was fantastic in presentation and flavors. We will definitely dine at Rangoon Ruby again!

It was a quiet, Monday night with only a cuple of other tables occupied. Service was prompt but low-energy and not very warm/friendly. I put it down to the slow business of the evening, and am hoping that it will be different on other occasions. The tea leaf salad was less flavorful than all our previous experiences, but it remains a family favorite!
