The Bleeding Horse is a historically significant public house located in Upper Camden Street, Dublin, Ireland. It dates at least back to the 17th century, and was located on St. Kevin’s Port (now Camden St.) at the junction of two important highways leading out of the city.On one side was Charlotte St., leading to Ranelagh and Donnybrook; on the other side was Old Camden St., which joined Richmond St. and led to Rathmines and Cullenswood. Both of these old streets disappeared during the renovations in the 1990s. The present building dates from 1871; the interior was renovated in 1992.There are (at least) two explanations for the name. One is that when a horse got the “staggers” it was bled by a farrier at the inn. We hadn't been to Captain America's in over 20 years and took the opportunity to visit before taking the grandkids to the Panto. What a great meal. Food, service, atmosphere was fantastic! Prices were great too when compared to other places. Quality and taste of food was superb. Service was excellent. One member of the party is vegetarian and proclaimed the veggie burger the best she ever had. Portions were generous and prices were reasonable. Certainly won't leave it 20 years before we're back. Thank you Captain America's.

Family brunch was a great success for us. Chicken and waffles and bacon with pink lemonade were a huge hit with our 12 year old. Zetor burger fries snd tropical lemonade filled a hungry husband and my huevos rancheros were just the treat I needed. Coffee is fantastic and the service is friendly personal and efficient. Wholeheartedly recommend 👌

Lovely place, only one waitress who was run off her feet! Left sitting for 20 mins before being asked to place an order, few drinks forgotten but food was outstanding - really enjoyed it particularly the burgers. Thanks!

The food here is cooked very well, tasty choice of meals. I commend the chefs for cooking a great, tasty meal and it was presented very well. The staff were very welcoming, knowledgeable and professional. The food was perfect and the ambiance of the restaurant was great. It will make me come back again to eat here.
