Best British Restaurants in Hurstpierpoint

This is my favourite restaurant, but the mushroom and truffle linguine was lukewarm and rather disappointing today

On 11/01/25, my mother and I had the pleasure of having dinner at your establishment. We would like to thank the team for the warm welcome and especially Jiresse for his kindness, attention and recommendations. It was a real culinary experience, the dishes are perfectly executed. Exquisite or divine, choose! The setting is particularly exceptional too, you have to eat here. We strongly recommend you to live an exceptional moment at Berners Tavern! Congratulations to the whole team!

Amazing pub, 5 star food, well worth the cost, We went there at 1st to check out the Wings Christmas song, but to be honest we found an amazing place to eat and will be coming back as the beer was cold and crisp, again food was out of this world, met the landlords and they both are beautiful people and the staff did their jobs very well, great atmosphere in the pub had by all that were in there while we were, Again I can not praise this place enough, winter, its a nice cosy log fire pub to keep warm and looking forward to going back in the warmer months with all the garden space and outside champers bar, a must stop and on the list for future visits..

We were served quickly and efficiently. The food was great value off the set 2 course menu and was really tasty. The only downside for me was that it was very noisy. The music was loud, and we were seated very close to other diners where we couldn't help but hear their conversations as they would have done ours.

Valentines night for my wife and I, Wife is also Gluten Intolerant and they had NGGI for all ingredients not gluten, my wife had the Melt NGGI burger and I had the hot dog both came with skinny fries. My wife had the rhubarb and ginger gin and the GF chocolate torte. The food was excellent and service was brilliant, mein host Alan who looked after us superbly. We had an incredibly lovely evening and meal, thanks Alan.
