    Very much enjoyed our unconventional Thanksgiving dinner at Et Voila. Country pate, mushroom soup, beet salad: all delicious. Mains also good, especially the Carbonnade and skirt steak. Desserts outdid themselves: a layered pumpkin tart and "Alex" mousse cake. Our waiter was very pleasant and knowledgeable. Service was almost too fast: they were clearly trying to move through a big crowd on Thanksgiving day and courses came promptly. They also had a lot of staff to whisk away plates as soon as we were finished. It's a small restaurant and can feel crowded even without a crowd. But we'll definitely be back for the food and service.

    It is such a treat that Cynthia opened on H Street. Our neighborhood has needed a restaurant like this. I love the Parmesan fries and burgers and am looking forward to trying other menu items.
