Best Asian Restaurants in Blackhawk

The slanted Door is a great place to dine: nice vibe to the place (modern, clean, spacious, tables well placed and spaced apart, nice art); delicious food that is best eaten family style with everything being shared (fresh ingredients, excellent preparations and beautifully plated, good variety to select from, the servers will help you with amount needed); and excellent service (warm and friendly, very helpful when ordering, times your meal selection so appetizers are served first, then entres, and then desserts with a nice amount of time between courses, our server was Marc who was fantastic). Well worth the visit; good value to the meal; we are ready to go again!

Dee ordered dimsum, virgin drinks, soup, fried rice and chicken entree’s and they were all well cooked.

Everything was lovely until a large party was seated next to us and they were exceedingly LOUD. Our dinner was a business meeting and it got very difficult to even hear what was being said. In addition, we were seated up against a wall in a corner.

The food and drinks are wonderful, but it is SO LOUD it’s hard to carry in a conversation. Also, our waiter brought our dinner out too fast as we had barely received our cocktails and appetizer. For that reason I gave it 4 stars. Might be better to go when you can sit outside.
