They surprised us with a sweet anniversary card, and our waiter was attentive, funny, and gave great recommendations. The food was incredible. We sampled a variety of dishes, including wine, beer, oysters, grilled artichoke, lamb shank, shrimp and lobster scampi, mussels, and Cioppino. Overall, the quality of the food was impressive; however, the oysters and lamb shank stood out to me. The oysters were outstanding, the best I have tasted in Cincinnati since The Anchor closed. The lamb shank was substantial, though I would have preferred it cooked a bit more towards medium rare, yet it was still very flavorful. The prices were reasonable, and the service was exemplary. The menu is varied in that you can spend a little more money, but also have a tasty sandwiches. This meal pleased all - dad with steak frites (a perfect med rare!), massive chicken sandwich and cod sandwiches for the kids, and a lovely chicken with pumpkin gnocchi for the Mrs. These were enjoyed by all. Dessert was cheesecake and chocolate cake were very good and just the right size. I don't want to forget about the "... by MadTree" part - the drinks and cocktails are anchored by MadTree craft beer as well as Sway. I went with the classic Identity Crisis and Holly Days.
