Best American Restaurants in Long Neck

For starters we enjoyed a mushroom appetizer that was out of this world delicious. Then we thoroughly enjoyed the shaved cabbage salad. We could have easily stopped there but we had already ordered the crispy rainbow trout. I enjoyed the preparation of the fish although I rarely order this type of fish. As always our sweet tooth needed a finale and the pot de creme fulfilled that ending! Heirloom continues to be a shining star in Lewes and a must go to when visiting the lower Delaware region.

We enjoyed the food and the excellent service by John and other team members. We were three and had the shrimp/crab meat appetizer, oyster stew, cedar planked salmon, and prime rib. Of course we were too satisfied to enjoy dessert but would have liked to have done that. This is an excellent place to dine with friends or as a couple. We plan to go again, often.

Salmon with asparagus and risotto with peas was very good, as was the shrimp and crab salad tower with avocado and mango. Service was good. Location and view was fabulous. We would not, however, order the non-alcoholic Chardonnay and non-alcoholic Sangria again due to lack of satisfactory taste.

The Blue Moon has the best off-season weekly specials. We were able to combine a great happy hour with the Monday night special of $39 dinner for two. There were 6 of us, so we shared a lot of appetizers before dinner. The stuffed shrimp and pasta bolognese were a hit, as well as the Autumn salad, burrata salad, and fried green tomatoes.

One of our favorite places to eat. Great food, amazing service. The mussels are the best in the area; the shrimp cocktail is a meal in itself. The halibut is amazing and consistently good. Love the turkey burger, we go back again and again just for that. Definitely recommend.
