Best American Restaurants in Lafayette

We went for lunch and had a wonderful time. I had the chicken pot pie - comfort food at its best! Service was excellent...attentive but not overbearing. It was a great experience and we'll be back.

Delicious food and great service. Our first time there in awhile

My wife didn’t want a big spectacle on her 60th birthday, so we decided to have a quiet lunch at Rooftop. She ordered a salad topped with a grilled salmon. I had the sea bass with risotto, and my daughter had the spicy rigatoni with chicken. We also ordered the shrimp tacos (4 tacos). All of the dishes we ordered were delicious. The grilled salmon that came with the salad was cooked just right. The sea bass was as good as and the melted cheese in the risotto was just right and not overpowering the overall flavor of the dish. And my daughter had no complaints on the rigatoni as she cleaned up her plate. And saving the best for last was the shrimp tacos. The shrimp tasted so delicious and fresh that I wished we had more, but with all the food we had, the shrimp tacos outshined them all. And not to forget our server, (I forgot his name God bless his soul) he was very sweet and personable, with a happy demeanor. Hope they pay him well because he was very attentive to our needs. Overall, my wife’s birthday celebration, even though it wasn’t elaborate, it was a very nice experience and we will definitely will come back if we’re in the area. I highly recommend this restaurant.

my date and i’s experience was incredible from walking in we felt so comfy. It was a little too dark for my weak eyes but it still helped with romance vibe very much AND the fireplace was so gorg, we really felt the vibe!! The service was also so top notch, everyone was so accommodating, and even beyond so! We never felt like we were being left behind, everyone made us feel so comfortable and special! Complimentary vallet was a nice touch too! We didn’t have to worry about parking, and I didn’t have to worry about adding a surprise cake for my date at the end, they got back to me right away with enthusiasm and no cake fees! We also had to move our reservation up super super last minute which they were very transparent about the uncertainty of guaranteeing they could, which I appreciated! They allowed us to move our res up and from even before (even outside the restaurant before going in) start to finish it was such an incredible experience, we will be back again!! The food was also so incredible and at a reasonable price compared to other places!!

Everything was very good! Service was impeccable and I loved the ambiance of the whole restaurant. On Valentine’s Day the live singing was a very nice touch 🥰
