The food was perfect, as was the ambiance and the wait staff. Initially, due to our understanding of the restaurants long history, we weren’t sure what to expect. Perhaps things were going to feel outdated to us. This, however, was not the case. If anything, the rich history adds to the wonderful mystique and overall experience. We come here very often and always can’t wait to go back. My favorite is their chicken and dumplings. It’s so flavorful and warms your soul. My husband’s favorite is the chicken and waffles, so much flavor in the chicken and with a sweet potato waffle it just comes together so well.
