Nestled amidst the ancient, moss draped oaks in Harbour Town, CQ's combines great fun, fine dining and a touch of Hilton Head Island history. CQ's has the feeling of an old, cozy, and comfortable inn. Heart-of-pine floors, wooden mantle pieces, stained glass, and the photographs and memorabilia of the Lowcountry culture all contribute to the charm that has made CQ's the place to dine since 1973. First came perfectly chilled martinis. Everything that followed was delicious, but if local pecan crusted flounder with brown butter sauce is a special, order it. Ours came with three large filets served on a copious bed of perfectly cooked green beans accompanied by a yummy square of parmesan polenta. While the Caesar salad was tasty, topped with white anchovies, it had a bit too much of what appeared to be pre-shredded packaged parmesan cheese. For the price, some freshly shaved parm & house-made croutons would have been better. My husband thoroughly enjoyed the pear & arugula salad. There was also a good selection of desserts but, alas, we had dined to well to have any. Kudos to the chef et al in the kitchen & to the bartender. All the rest of the CQ staff, from hostess to servers & bussers, were welcoming & efficient. And, your evening will be made even more perfect if you are seated at a table that includes Michelle as your wait person. Her warmth, efficiency & sense of humor was delightful & topped off a most wonderful evening.

Our food and drinks were great. The food was particularly hot (temperature) which I love. Very old school. We have been once before and will certainly go back.

A perfect Christmas season experience. We go every year. Lovely decorations, good food, attentive staff. The muscles are especially terrific. Expensive even for Hilton Head.

Highly recommended. The food was outstanding, both of our favorite place during the entire trip (several towns, and we ate well everywhere.) Friendly and informative waitress. We ate there over Christmas and enjoyed the tree and decorations as well.

Our group of four enjoyed a great evening at CQ’s! We each ordered a different first course and entree, and all were superb! My husband and I had eaten at CQ’s once before many years ago. Loved it then, and loved it yet again. CQ’s has moved to the top of the list as our favorite dining experience in Hilton Head!

Upstairs seating at a small table with a service door constantly disrupting us created a miserable experience. Food was good but low end items on the menu made for difficult choices. Why not a better cut of steak? We expected more from this restaurant for Thanksgiving. It did not present itself as a high end restaurant. We’re in Hilton Head usually 3 times a year, and this is our first impression of CQs. Our server, Ava, was excellent and knew we weren’t happy. She made efforts to attempt to please us.
