   So disappointed by the New Years Eve pre-fixe. This restaurant is amazing and one of our favorites, but this night was NOT their night. I was so confused by the menu choices? The salad was dry, the pasta was dry, and then lobster or prime rib? The lobster came on a plate without butter or sauce and a piece of corn and some scalloped potatoes. It felt very summery and like an afterthought. The prime rib was very tough and extremely hard to even cut. Our waiter was amazing as usual, but everything else was very disappointing for the price:/

   Service was spot on - attentive but not overly so, the server was exceptionally knowledgeable and gave great suggestions on both food and wine. My wife and I shared a couple appetizers and the server arranged for them to be served in sequence (so that we could focus on one at a time) and in a manner that facilitated our sharing the dishes. Our two entrees, lobster tails and sea bass were outstanding. We were very impressed by the chef's creativity in the mixing of ingredients with complementary (sometimes surprisingly so!) flavors in both our entrees and appetizers. Our server also gave us an excellent recommendation for a wine that perfectly worked with our dishes. The entire staff worked as a well coordinated team that was clearly focused on providing us the best possible experience. I'll definitely return whenever I'm able to get back to Santa Fe.

   What a treat it is to sit at the counter and watch the very talented cooking staff do their thing! We watched our dinners come together- with such finesse and care! Bravo!

   Scallops were too salty. The desserts were not up to Coyote Cafe standards. A 21% tip was added to the bill. We aren’t inclined to dine there again.

   This was a wonderful way to finish a great time in Santa Fe. Lovely atmosphere, excellent service and off the charts food. I only gave 4 stars because my dish was a bit underwhelming after amazing appetizers and tasting everyone else’s. (I got Sea Bass in Green Mole which was just ok.—Scallops and squash ravioli were both divine as was the Chile Morita Mexican White Prawn appetizer!)

   We sat at the bar counter and it was a fantastic experience. You could chat with the chefs and see how they cook everything and see what’s the most popular. We choose the lobster and my husband had the elk. It was some of the most tender pieces of meat he has ever had! The drinks are dangerously. Great margaritas with different types than we have had before. It is expensive but so worth it. Don’t miss their Mac and cheese. It’s divine!

   First and foremost Quinn, the owner was absolutely wonderful. He takes pride in his restaurant and that his guest truly enjoy themselves. Our waitress, Bella, had wonderful recommendations for both our meal and drinks. The atmosphere is fun and funky inside. After dinner we went up to the rooftop bar where Quinn continied to make sure we were well taken care of and its a more casual experience. Highly recommend for an all around wonderful experience.
