   I’ve been to CG many times and always had a great experience. This time the mussels that came with the sea bass were awful. They were not fresh, fishy and undercooked.

   Vibe and service was good but food was terrible. Everything tasted off and we ordered a bunch. I’d recommend finding a local spot as there are so many great places in Manchester! I will note, they gave the kids crayons and paper to color which was nice!

   We love this restaurant, the ambiance, and the servers. It's especially nice when staying at the hotel. We've come 4 years in a row for my wife's birthday. Unfortunately this year our dinner was overcooked. The coq au vin was so dry no amount of sauce could save it. Flagging that the mushroom soup was great two years in a row. That's a must order! However, the salad was heavily coated with oil and the sauce on the salmon dish was so abundant the broccoli rob lost its natural flavor. Fortunately our server was the highlight of the night. She was very friendly and helpful. I'm always willing to give any place or person a pass and chalk it up as a bad night. I'm sure/hopeful next year will be better.

   Our waitress Sunny was the best! She made excellent recommendations from the menu, and made the evening really special for all of us

   We dined at Taconic and the experience was disappointing. My sister in law ordered a salad with chicken only to find the chicken was not cooked and the salad portion was EXTREMELY small, especially considering the price. We mentioned it to the server and she did agree the chicken wasn’t cooked and the portion was small. She brought it back with the chicken cooked a bit more and a little more salad. It was still disappointing. An additional entree that we did not order was listed on the bill, we were lucky we noticed and it was taken off. We did appreciate our kind server and the Brussel sprouts.

   Amazing varied menu, highest quality locally procured food and all delicious. Ate here all three nights of our stay at Taconic Hotel (and brunch!) and not bored of menu. Great ambiance to boot.

   We dined at the Copper Grouse on the evening of our arrival in the Kimpton Taconic Hotel. It was quite busy but we had a reservation so we were seated quickly. We ordered several entrees off the main menu. The prices were high, over $30 for each entree. The Coq Au Vin was amazing but we also ordered salmon, which was undercooked, and a hamburger that was not very different from any other hamburger, not really justifying the price. The dessert options were not very creative, mainly chocolate and ice cream. I thought that with some creativity it could have been a lot better.

   Great in almost every way — might have been quieter but restaurants just aren’t quiet these days. Superb service, food, drinks and wine, it’s now our go-to Manchester, VT fine dining restaurant.

    Always a good experience. The CG team starting with master bar mixer James is a great group that works well together to make the Vermont evening memorable. Server Ian was friendly, efficient and helped round out the night.
