Clos Maggiore is an oasis of calm in the heart of Covent Garden. Influenced by the stylish country inns of Provence and Tuscany its unique interiors create a warmth and intimacy enjoyed by both business and private parties. The conservatory has a fully retractable glass roof creating a bright and airy dining space. Our extensive cellar at Clos Maggiore includes over 2,000 labels and was extended earlier this year to include an additional 400 wines at a low – mid price range. We are very proud to have been awarded the “Best of Award of Excellence” consistently since 2003 by Wine Spectator.

    Our second visit here. We were hoping and expecting good food but they surpassed our expectations. The food has so much flavour with perfect portion size. The staff are both highly professional and at the same time friendly.

    There was a fairly limited range of options for Starter, Main and Desert but those we tried were extremely refined, subtle and tasty.

    I would give four stars except my expectations were higher based on how Clos M holds itself out. The starters were good but the chicken main course was totally bland as were the side dishes. Then real let down was soufflé dessert. Takes 15 mins say the menu, but it arrived promptly and turned out to be more of a chocolate mousse. We even queried it with the waiter to be told “it’s our take on soufflé”. I’m sorry but soufflé is a specific concept and wet chocolate mousse is not a clever take on it.
