   The food was just “OK”. Definitely not worth the price they charge. The waiter was rude and sarcastic. The ambiance was old and tired.

   We were passing through Palm Desert on Christmas Eve and were able to secure a reservation at Cafe Des Beauz-Arts…and were not disappointed. The servers were very attentive and upbeat (despite having to work on Christmas Eve!). I had the Sand Dabs Picatto and the flavors were wonderful…although maybe a little too fishy tasting. Beet Salad and French Onion soup were delectable. A non-alcoholic wine/mocktail selection would have been nice. Raspberry crème brule and cappuccinos were perfect endings to the meal!

   We had a lovely evening made even better by our server, Jose. The food was expertly prepared. Love the traditional French dishes. The Lake Superior White fish was delicious as was the Asian salad. Escargots and Tart Tatin were perfection. We will be back!

   We chose Beaux Arts because we knew it would be cozy with a well rounded menu. It was busy yet yhe atmosphere was relaxing and noise levels were low. Service was attentive and pleasant and organized.

   We’ve been coming to Palm Desert for years but this was our first experience at Cafe Des Beaux-Arts. I can easily promise it will NOT be the last for sure. I am so glad we chose to treat our host family here as they were impressed as well. The liver and onions, escargot and veal were truly perfection. A special thanks to Daisy who made the evening even more enjoyable with her excellent service. Can’t wait to return!

   Great location. We were greeted well by what appeared to be the Mgr. and shown to a nice quiet table. The food was really good - escargots, the bouillabaisse and their daily special that evening (salmon and Chilean sea bass) was especially tasty. The simple crepe (banana Nutella) was a good finish. Alcoholic options were good. The issue - service. The restaurant was quiet and the staff wasn’t visible or too busy talking to regulars or among themselves. At one point we flagged the server who, while yapping nonstop with what looked like friends at the bar snapped “I see you”. Later, the hostess ended up bringing the tab since the server disappeared. Too bad. It ruined an otherwise nice evening.

    Whenever we come out to this area we always make it a point to come here as it never disappoints. The food and service are always great as is the ambiance.
