We are delighted to have added additional outdoor seating but Santa Barbara nights are chilly so bring a sweater or light jacket!

Fresh, local ingredients, prepared with care. Excellent wines that reflect the quality and character of our region and work in concert with the cuisine. Warm, inviting ambiance, service at a relaxed, leisurely pace. Santa Barbara ‘Wine Country Cuisine’ means we source our ingredients using an ‘as-fresh-and-as-local-as-possible’ approach, with fish from the Santa Barbara Channel and produce from the surrounding countryside. We then take into account how these flavors can be presented in concert with our local wines. We believe you’ll taste the difference. Bon Appètit!

    The food was amazing! Both my boyfriend and I started with the onion soup, which was cheesy and savory. I had the duck which was tender and extremely flavorful. My boyfriend had the filet that was also tender and juicy with a great pepper sauce. We were both extremely full, but opted for a scoop of lemon berry ice cream which was a perfect way to end the meal.

    Always have a great meal here, and this was no different. The outdoor seating is bordering magical, and definitely cozy. We were greeted by Mitchell the owner as well as the floor sommelier Joe who were both very knowledgeable. Eric the manager and our server Russ made us feel incredibly welcome and didn’t miss a thing. Would highly recommend.

    We did something unusual for 2024. We dressed for dinner: tuxedo, long black dress, coiffed hair... something that's been considered unnecessary for more than half a century. Yet it commanded attention, and the staff responded appropriately. The service was, essentially, a team of people, each seeming to have their own domain and expertise. They were there when we needed them and let us be the rest of the time. Each dish had its own distinctive character: ingredients, textures, multiple levels of taste as it moved across our tongues, and enough to satisfy us with reasonably sized portions. Even then, there was enough left over to provide another meal. Though we had wine by the glass, rather than the bottle, we did have multiple glasses. Yet, when the check arrived (after we'd requested it, not before), it was 30% less than we expected (though, if we were better at tracking figures in our heads while focused on enjoying the food, we'd have anticipated the total). Bouchon has been around for decades, and it's easy to understand why... and why it's likely to endure.
