   The french onion soup was one of the best I’ve ever had and the warm pecan goat cheese tart with pears was excellent. The sea bass was delicious and perfectly prepared. My husband enjoyed the rib eye and our friends loved the duck breast and confit (their signature dish). The service and ambience were lovely. It was a great night with friends and a wonderful meal. Looking forward to our next night here.

   The mushroom appetizer was copious and delicious. Onion Soup very good. Duck two ways copious and excellent. Pork shank same. We took enough home for two mains. It is refreshing to go to a fancy restaurant and be able to enjoy large main portions as opposed to nouvelle cuisine nonsense. I like fancy and creative but please give me a decent portion.

   This is our second time dining at Bouchon. We came back because the food was so delicious and we received excellent service. This time,however, I’m sorry to report that the service was one of the worst we’ve ever had. Our server was essentially nonexistent. We were able to order a bottle of wine for our table of four within the first few minutes but it was over 50 minutes before our server came back to take our food order. The couple seated next to us had received and finished their entrees and dessert by the time our server came back to take our order. It was then another 35 minutes for our first appetizers to arrive. The French onion soup was amazing and we all enjoyed our entrees. We passed on dessert because we didn’t want to wait another hour for it to arrive.

   Great dinner! Highly recommend! Food was delicious. Service was very friendly and welcoming. Restaurant was busy but not overcrowded or loud. Very pleasant atmosphere. Would dine often if I lived in Santa Barbara.

   We had a lovely dinner for four. We tried both types of fish and saw all the other entrees around us and they all were beautifully presented and delicious. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

    The food was amazing! Both my boyfriend and I started with the onion soup, which was cheesy and savory. I had the duck which was tender and extremely flavorful. My boyfriend had the filet that was also tender and juicy with a great pepper sauce. We were both extremely full, but opted for a scoop of lemon berry ice cream which was a perfect way to end the meal.
