Borealis Grille & Bar serves the very best of locally crafted foods and beverages. We bring "The Taste of Ontario”, the highest quality of fresh products from Ontario farmers, breweries and wineries to our guests each and every day. We carry a great combination of lunch and dinner items to chose from, with an assortment of 20 Micro Brews on tap and a selection of Ontario's top wineries. This combined with a deep respect for local heritage and craftsmanship and an unwavering dedication for sustainability has given us an award wining recipe.
There are 5 things we consider when we choose what goes on our menu:

I came early and was seated right away I didn't have to wait. The server was excellent. The food was five star and my party of 4 all enjoyed their meals.

My friends wished to go out for dinner and asked me to select the restaurant. I chose Borealis as I have eaten there several times in the past and had a good experience. Sadly the restaurant failed on multiple levels to make this a good experience. 1. They were understaffed which resulted in the server being unattentive to our table. 2. The recommended Prime Rib dinner was not prepared as requested. It was both overcooked and likely less than the portion size ordered. 3. Someone other than our server brought our dinners 4. Our server failed to check in on us to confirm if all is satisfactory 5. A second beverage was ordered before the dinners arrived and was never received. The second beverage order was cancelled as we had completed our meal before the server returned to check on us I was embarrassed to have recommended Borealis and needed to apologize to my friends for the poor dinner experience.

Was there to celebrate mine and my sister's birthdays. The service was slow even though there were only a couple of other tables. We ordered sandwiches and the lettuce on both looked like it was a week old. Not great flavour either. Do not recommend.

A great little restaurant close enough to 401 to be a mid way meeting place for contacts from Toronto. The food is as local as it can be so everything is farm fresh. The service friendly and considerate. I shall return.
