   What a bad experience! It’s been a recent tradition to book Christmas dinner here but based on our Mother’s Day downer of a time… not likely to this year. Lovely host greeted us and nice young guy brought us to our table with a great view so good start but unfortunately it was downhill from there… After 20 mins of waiting for anyone to greet us, I took it upon myself to flag down one of the many servers who kept passing us by to ask if anyone was going to help us. He seems surprised and found our server. No acknowledgment of our wait as she just asked if we wanted a drink. We ordered and asked for a starter which were told they were out of. Ugh. She asked if we wanted bread so we said sure. Another 15 mins pass before our drinks arrive. No bread. Another 10 pass and I try to flag down anyone to ask if we could have bread, finally our server comes and we’re told it’s in the oven. Jeez. Our salads arrive as we were having the 3 course Mother’s Day menu, we eat them. Still no bread. Finally it comes with a story about the lengths to which our server went to find us butter (we appreciated that much). Our dinner takes some time still and once it arrives, our server never comes to check how it is. (To be fair, food was excellent). We eat and wait seemingly forever for dessert, so long in fact that ended up taking it to go and asked for the bill. Which to neither of our surprise took a bit of time to be brought. No commentary on our clear disappointment, no apologies or make right offered. Most of the night we felt invisible, people filled up water glasses but never ours. No one even would look at our table as they passed, I couldn’t even make eye contact with anyone to ask for anything. It was quite strange and certainly not worth the $229 bill whatsoever. Sadly, we won’t be returning. 👎🏻

   Mother Day Brunch. The eggs Benny was NOT tasty. The eggs were poached hard (and we were not asked how we would like them). The hollandaise was a spoonful and tasteless. The trio Benny had a teaspoon of crab and shrimp, and salmon lox piece was tiny(so all muffin). The Caesar drink was from a mix, had to ask as it did not taste like a traditional Caesar. The fruit that was brought had no presentation and the pastry tasted stale. For a set menu at $35 not worth it. Not even a complimentary mimosa for the mothers at the table. Pretty disappointing.

   The food was literally what you'd get at a Ricky's for 1/4 of the price. $175 for three of us and I had $35 Avocado toast... and two $35 benny's. Wow... very disappointed in the food.

   We love going out to The Boathouse, excellent food and fantastic service. Our most recent visit, last evening, sadly was anything but. We always get the $50 New York strip loin which is the meal we enjoy the most. Yesterday’s was the worst steak I have had. It was like chewing rubber. The veggies were extremely skimpy and the presentation was like someone threw it on the plate. Our server did ask how things were so we told her that the meal was subpar to their usual fare. She did bring the manager over and he did offer a new steak. However our party was half way through their meal. So he offered a dessert. We didn’t come for dessert, we came for a lovely steak dinner. Very disappointed in the meal and the way our server tried to rush us to place our order.

   The night got off to a bad start. We had specifically asked for the rooftop deck and phoned to follow up. I was assured they would be able to accommodate us weather permitting. The first arrivals of our party were seated in the dining room. So went upstairs and found that the deck had plenty of tables. The reception at the front end of the deck was not at all helpful. She told us we would have to go downstairs and talk to the manager. When asked if she could call down she was dismissive and somewhat rude. So we went down and the manager said that would not be a problem but did not come up with us to resolve and smooth situation over - or provide feedback to staff - very poor! While the waitress assigned to our table was very charming, the service was slow and poor. The food was below average. The deck was lovely but there was no heater after the sun went down - many tables had heaters but ours didn’t and we were advised the heaters could not be moved - not sure why not. Not sure we would come back.

   We really enjoyed the food and we also had a excellent waiter. A little pricey but was worth it. Now a days every where is pricey. Plus you can't beat the view of the ocean. We had a excellent table by the window.
