I took my girlfriend to dimmer and a show for an early Christmas gift. I was very nervous about picking a place to eat before the show as I am mew to Philly. I did I ever het so lucky. Bistro LA Baia was hands down one of the best experiences we both have had. The food was absolutely amazing. I give it a 5 star all the way around. It is a must place to enjoy a byob. Please give it a try and I guarantee you will not be disappointed.

Given all the good restaurants in the area, there is really no reason to eat at this one. The service was inconsistent and our food was just not good. The arugula salad was a large pile of arugula, much of which was bruised, with 3 tiny slices of dried fig and a lot of Parm. It was unremarkable. The chicken Parm was really the worst version of this standard dish that I have ever had. The linguine was broken, making it difficult to eat, the sauce was watery, not rich and tomato-y. The chicken itself was pounded to a scaloppine and had an odd breading. On top of it were three slices of barely melted mozzarella. The pasta with short rib ragu was okay but there was no sauce to the ragu. It was just meat. As the restaurant got busier, it also got hotter and stuffier, making it very uncomfortable. One member of our group has to go outside for air. We were never asked about coffee or dessert so we just got our bill and left, never to return.

Amazing food, great service, very crowded and busy so you know it’s good! They make it feel super cozy! The food was fantastic and even though there were lots of people waiting we never felt rushed!

Convivial but quite noisy neighborhood gem, reasonably priced and BYOB. We had the arugula salad, spaghetti with clams, salmon risotto, and chicken Parmesan. Everyone was very happy with their food - it was delicious! Service was excellent too.

Food was excellent. Generous portion. Service was great and staff was warm and friendly. Ambiance was quaint and cozy. Bathroom is tiny. We had a 5pm reservation on a Friday evening. We were one of 3 tables seated. Noise level was fine but I could see that if the place was full, it could be loud.

Delicious Italian meal. All freshly home made with quality ingredients you could taste. Nice, hearty portions. Wonderful service from all staff on the floor. Parking is a bit trying as it is on-street in a predominantly residential area but well worth it.

Very nice neighborhood place. Went early on a Thursday so it was almost empty. Probably would be more fun with a fuller house. Food was well prepared and tasty. Service was genteel.

Had a wonderful dinner at Bistro La Baia to celebrate our daughter's birthday. We enjoyed ourselves very much, in good part due to the delicious food and wonderful service. From pasta to parmigiana to fish, it was all superbly made. And dessert was a special treat! We will be back for more! :)
