Bistro du Midi's cuisine features French Cuisine inspired by Coastal New England influences. Our wine list represents the true soul of a bistro wine list. In a classic French bistro, wine is very much a part of every meal. As such, we offer a variety of experiences and wines at a tremendous value in a range of prices. Our elegant yet relaxed environment overlooks Boston's beautiful Public Garden with a spectacular view. A street level Bistro features floor-to-ceiling windows, and in the spring and summer our patio provides some of the most optimal al fresco dining in the city.

Just ok. Years ago used to be better. Food is just ok and service is great. Amazing deserts however so I would come for deserts. Dinner was salmon, duck, octopus, and tartar - all was good but just average.

Wonderful French service and food, start to finish. With six in our group, we were fortunate to have a table in an alcove, making conversation easy. Highly recommended.

it was pretty much what we expected in a high end restaurant (altho it was definitely high end) but we were seated underneath a heating unit and it was cold. On request, they turned the unit off (or at least down) but it came back on before we finish our meal.

This used to be a classic French restaurant and very elegant- now it’s a loud sort of French restaurant- it was 30th anniversary and we given a table by the elevator and bar- my friends steak was incorrect and the waiter and manager attempted to pass the blame to us like they were doing us a favor - then did nothing for our 30th and I had to make a request and they gave us complimentary French mini-muffins on a plate that said happy anniversary - all patrons get these - the wine steward did make an excellent choice - things happen but management was poor and we would not go back without an apology

Mistral and Aquitaine are among my favorite French restaurants in Boston, but I had not tried Bistro du Midi until last night. I would now give this the top rank. We had the special ribeye, buillabase, duck, steak tartare, tortellini , octopus and everything was delectable. Service and atmosphere are also top notch. Even the kids pizza was unbelievable. Given the flawless dinner, I expected the desserts to be the same, and while the chocolate soufflé and crème brûlée were excellent, the other items we tried were good, but not great. You may need a second job to pay for the dinner, but if you have the money to drop, it’s worth it.
