   Absolutely delicious meal including escargot, hangar steak and duck confit. The service was outstanding, I wish I could remember the waitress’s name. Highly recommend!!

   Phenomenal staff, true French flavor and quality. Get the foie gras mousse, you will not regret!

   Our server was very attentive and provided great recommendations. I am a server myself and I was very impressed with his personality and hospitality.

   We had been waiting to go to Barberet for quite some time...much of the experience was pleasant enough--food was very good and our server was great. But, we just expected something more from the atmosphere and decor. Given it was Valentine's day, there was nothing to distinguish the evening except a few (very high priced) specials. Nothing on the tables, no complimentary anything...and the furnishings, table settings seating were so uninteresting. Example, wine we ordered was poured in a glass that looks like it came from Dollar Tree. Not certain what would be a reason to return there when other restaurants in downtown Lancaster--401 Prime, The Belvedere, C'est La Vie, even Plough and Lombardo's--seem more exciting and interesting. Granted, the bakery at Barberet was very good, but not being dessert people, that's not enough for us to return.

   Horribly over priced and poor quality. We had the wagu carpaccio and it was tough to cut and very chewy. The bartender (we sat at the bar) seemed indifferent to customers sitting in front of him. Cocktails were very weak and I’m not sure if mine even had alcohol in it. Skip this place and go to Proof for a far better experience.

   We had a wonderful dining experience at Bistro Barberet. We picked this restaurant to celebrate our daughter’s 20th birthday and it was a real memorable experience for all of us. The food was excellent served in beautiful crafty dishes. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the quiet ambience was exactly what we looked for. It was like we had a glimpse of a Parisian Bistro. Our daughter loved it and we all can’t wait to go back there for another fine dining experience.

    Difficult review to write since the meal was 50/50 in terms of quality and value. Appetizer was stellar - beautiful presentation, well thought out combination of high quailty ingredients, fairly priced. Entrees didn't meet the same standard on quality or value.
