    As soon as we walked in we saw an argument between the mgr & a chef. Our waiter was kind but there was a language barrier that caused me to run around & speak to managers. The food is good but priced very high. The waiter failed to coordinate the birthday singers for my husband & one other person at the table who was very upset about it. Women’s restroom needed attention. I don’t think we’ll be back anytime soon.

    It was overall a good experience. I saw a few pieces of hair and I almost left honestly. It really needs to be cleaned like deep cleaned and even some remodeling. The cooks should have multiple uniforms to change as they do get messy and presentation is a part of the job.

    The food was great as always but, for the 1st time the server was horrible. She kept disappearing the cook had to leave 2 times to get things that were not loaded on the cart for our dinners. The server was wearing a coat and was gone for 30 minutes at a time. She was very spotty on things and seemed annoyed when we asked her questions. I am hoping on my next visit we don't get this server as I will be asking for someone else if we do. We have never had a problem before so this we quite shocking. We will be back but, on guard moving forward. Also the menus were new and looked very appealing to the eyes but, the prices have moved up about 30% we came for my daughters birthday. We come about 6 times a year and I would suggest that you change your birthday certificates from a $30 certificate to a $42 Certificate to balance where it was to reflect the new prices. Looking forward to coming again in a few months but, hopefully things will be as they have been in the past not as they were last night.

    It could have been cleaner, the exhaust was leaking from multiple tables including ours.

    To start, the chef was amazing! Very engaging, had sense of humor and kept us laughing! However, the server gave our table very poor service! At first, we sat at a table that had a drip from the hood vent. It dripped a cloudy-brownish liquid that splashed onto 2 plates. We addressed, and were moved to the next table over before ordering. When the beverages came out, no straws were left. Throughout the night, it was as if the server forgot that she was serving our table. We had to wait, long periods in between before we were checked on. We sat there with empty glasses of water & beverages without refilling. Fast forwarding to the end of dinner. All guests had finished eating with our remaining food sitting in front of us, waiting on server to come back so we could ask for the check and carry out boxes. The server finally comes back around, but she was looking very confused and discombobulated. I asked, “Are you ok?” Instead of realizing everyone was ready to check out, she brings a picture of water and fills one of the guests empty glass. This couple already had their to go boxes in front of them, ready to go and just needed the check! We also had to remind her to bring the carry out items and we were not offered the ice-cream, we had to mention it but got that to go. We also waited too long for the server to come back with our receipts and cards! Overall, this was the worse service I have ever experienced from Benihana from the server!

    The food was great, service ok and restaurant ambiance was awful! The table we were seated at had extremely cold outside air rushing in through the overhead hood vent. Granted it is extremely cold in Michigan right now, however, this was ridiculous. We thought once the chef came it would get better because the hood vent would be on sucking the cold air out along with the smoke from the food cooking. Unfortunately the hood vent was not working. When I said something to the chef he said "I guess it is not working" and then just moved the smoking zucchini to the other side of the grill. I complained to the waitress how cold it was and she didn't offer any solution either. It was so cold that our food only stayed warm for about 10 minutes. I went to speak with the manager - she barely offered an apology. We visit this location at least 10 times a year - have even spent every Christmas Day there for the last 15 years (with the exception of Covid years). Very disappointed for the staff not caring enough to move us and/or compensating us. May need to reconsider visiting this location again.

    Service was very slow and not engaged waited 45 minutes once we were seated for beverages and a full hour and 15 minutes before the chef arrived to cook . Price point is top end and disappointing because of the service . Bill was $600 plus for 6 adults Wo t chose to go back

    While I appreciate the lively and engaging hibachi setup, there were some aspects that left us disappointed. I am vegetarian, and my family dont eat beef. Unfortunately, we were seated at a shared table where the chef cooked beef and other non-vegetarian items on the same grill using the same utensils. This made us uncomfortable, and we were unable to fully enjoy the meal. We ended up eating only rice and taking the rest of the food home, which didn’t feel worth the $50 per person we paid. In other hibachi restaurants we’ve visited, staff members ask about dietary preferences or concerns before seating guests. This small consideration ensures everyone has a pleasant experience. It would be great if your restaurant could adopt a similar approach. When I expressed my concerns to the front desk, I felt they were not addressed with the seriousness I expected. While $50 per person may not be a significant amount for some, it is a premium price for a middle-class family like ours who dine out only occasionally. I hope you take this feedback constructively to improve the experience for guests with dietary restrictions or preferences in the future.     Waited a half hour to sit. Asked about open tables. Was told yes you will be taking those tables but waited a half hour to actually be able to sit there. Had kids with us. Asked for Benihana hats. They were out. Asked for drinks, never received. The worse service I have received in a long time. Will not return.
