    Worst dinning experience in SF. Waited for 1.5 hrs for my reservation. The restaurant was filthy, there was no communication about our table or time. They clearly are a pure for profit, no concern for the customer experience center/mill. This restaurant needs an exorcism. Stat. At one point we were waiting in the throngs of the bar few shrimp tails from server were prodded across the room onto my fiancée, mind you we were no where near food. The bar tenders were overwhelmed and ignored us refusing to take orders, letting the bar be riddled with cup, glass, paper napkins, just as a sign to ward off any potential new orders.

    Reservation was for 7:45, got sat at 9:20, chef didn’t start until 10pm. He was rushing because of how backed up they were so the experience was lacking.

    We were seated an hour after our reservation time, which was confirmed a week beforehand. Larger parties, regardless if they had a reservation, were being seated before us.

    Benihana is usually a really fun experience. This visit, the service wasn’t up to par. Our chef was great and the food as expected. But we waited well past the time of our reservation. Our drinks took forever and we never received one of the drinks we ordered. The server told us something about not being able to make it, yet we saw several of the same drinks being served to other tables. It was NYE, so maybe it was just a busy, off night

    Took awhile to get seated even though there was no one waiting in front of us and was a long wait time to be served soup or salad. Once the hibachi chef arrived, we were in good hands with lots of enthusiasm and attention.

    The seafood and beef were cooked by our chef Javier and we had a fun time throughout the multi course meal. The food and wine quality was excellent and cooked with high efficiency and precision with hot tenderness and succulent flavor.

    My family of six had the best experience here today! The service was friendly and helpful and the food was incredible! Antonio provided a fabulous show for us and cracked us up. This was our first time at a Benihana and we all loved it. Worth the price for the food and show!
