   Great staff that were very attentive. The chef Jesse was great and really funny. The food was delicious as always. Definitely will come back to this location in the future.

   This place is always busy. The service is slow, hostess overworked and no smile. We bought gift cards back in December and was offered promotional voucher. They make it very difficult for customer to redeem. We can only use one voucher per customers. So you have to come back of you want to use the rest of it or let it expired. Even when you have reservation, you still have to wait. Prepare to spend 3 hours

   What is the point of making a reservation when you do not get seated until an hour later. This is the second time this has happened and to get seated an hour later and then not get fed for another 40m after is ridiculous for the price. The chef we had was rude and the server barely was around to refill drinks or ask if we needed anything else. Do not recommend this location unless you want to pay too much for a 10:00pm dining experience that was supposed to begin at 7:00p. At least notify the customer of the delay, when we got to the counter they told us they wanted to be completely transparent with us and that they still hadn't seated people that had reservations an hour prior. (Not transparent at all because no warning prior). Then they said they could not give us a good estimate of how long it would take and that they would text us when they are ready. (again where is the transparency)

   My rsv was at 530...food wasn't served until 6:15...long delay due to lack of chefs...counted 9 tables with no chefs...this is the second time this has happened..they offered edamame or California roll for the inconvenience...food was ok - chicken fried rice used to have chicken chunks now it's shredded...barely knew it was there...4 pieces of zucchini covered with onions...overpriced for dinner...noise level was a bit high..guess to no one eating...

   Booked a 430 reservation. It was overbooked and 8 parties in front. I will never book again. They made us wait for 45 minutes. Not acceptable.

   Our reservation was at 4:30. We weren’t sat until 5:15. Order was taken at 5:30, our chef did come to start cooking until 6:15. We didn’t leave there until 7:30. That is an incredibly long time to be in a restaurant with the majority of the time just waiting. Chef was mediocre at best.

   Benihana was loud with all excitement. The chefs were all going off and keeping it vibrant with the teppanyaki skills. Ours was Jesse B!! The dad jokes and the ninja skills were appreciated. The food was amazing and drinks on point. Family and friends had an amazing time !!

    We spent 3 hours driving out to San Diego to celebrate me and my daughters birthday. We made a reservation for 6:15 originally, then called and asked if it was possible to move the time back to 7:30, which was allowed. When we arrived at 7 pm we were told it would be a 2 hour wait….insane. And so we were finally offered to sit at the lounge after an hour of waiting. Waiter was rude and gave us a hard time. We finally after 2 1/2 got seated at a table where we could watch the chef. We had 4 kids which is the reason we came to Benihana to watch the show. Very disappointed.
