   Very poor service and hamachi show was quick and very underrated. Our cook was not excited at all about his job and didn’t do any of the normal things.

   I had a really good Christmas dinner with family and friends. I don’t have one complaint. The food, service, atmosphere made it a memorable holiday dinner. I highly recommend the spicy chicken hibachi! So delicious.

   Restaurant needs to be transparent about reservation system. I made this reservation several weeks ago and it was confirmed by phone on Saturday prior. I asked if we would be seated at 2pm and was told yes. Arrived to be told that it would be at least 45 minutes to be seated. When questioned, was told a reservation was treated as a walkin...when you arrive you are added to the list. Feel very misled. Service was chaotic...mixed drinks didn't arrive until mid meal after a reminder. Soft drinks not refilled. Half table not offered ice cream as they should have been for ordering a combo meal. Everything and everyone was rushed. Veggie and rice portions small. Will not be back.

   We truly love Benihana at the Plano location the best. Today because of the holiday, it was very crowded and a little tight trying to get checked in, run to the bathroom or find a seat as we waited to be called to a table. I can’t complain because the food was wonderful as usual and Carlos our Chef did a great job. I would have liked a few extra vegetables. A little smaller portion than normal especially when you are paying for the Ocean Treasure price menu. Our waitress was helpful and courteous, but she did apologize for some of the delays today because it was so busy. In this economic time, I can’t help but feel happiness when I see this location being that busy. If I was a business owner, I would want to be busy and hope that my customers would give me a little grace. I have been there at times and the place was almost empty. So “congratulations” for the opportunity to still be in business post COVID and because of the great experiences at this location, I will always be a raving fan.

   Manager told us to leave saying we were there for 130 minutes when there was a 120 minute max. We explained that was impossible when we had a 4:45pm reservation at it was 6:15. He wouldn’t listen and basically kicked us out because we were finishing a story at a table that he wanted to turn.

   Our server was very very nice. However our chef was not. He completely killed the vibe and all the excitement we had with going to a Hibachi place. With all of our kids. His attitude was poor, and wasn’t willing to accommodate our requests and wanted to argue in front of everyone. He severely overcooked the rice to the point that I was burned and hard. He and to speak with the manager and server separately who were both very nice and had someone cook us some really good egg fried rice to go since our wasn’t edible at dinner. The steak, chicken, shrimp and vegetables were cooked perfectly so that was a plus. Overall the restaurant decor was in pretty poor shape and looked dirty. The place needs a refresh badly. The ambiance doesn’t fall in line with the price tag 💰Really enjoy Benihana’s but won’t be back to this one for a while.

    Confirmed reservation for 7:00pm. Didn’t get seated until 7:45. After talking with others around us that walked us, they were seated before us. One in which had a party the same size as us. The reservations were not seated priority at all. Due to the time delay, we had to skip another planned event.
