   The food was sub par and I could get much better value going to our local Ichiban, which is where I normally go and will continue to go.

   We have loved dining at Benihana for the past 25-30 years. The food is excellent. The service is always professional, friendly and efficient. When our daughter was growing up, she often requested to go to Benihana for her birthday. She would invite some of her friends and we would sit at one of the grilling tables where the chef would cook our food amid a remarkable demonstration of skills. It was fun. In more recent years we have opted to sit at a table in the bar area and just have the prepared meal served to us there. Since we were celebrating my now adult daughter's birthday, we made a reservation for 6 people to eat at the bar. The reservation was accepted. However, when we arrived at the restaurant, we discovered that the tables for 6 had been replaced, in the bar area, by booths for 4 people. Consequently, we had to split our group and sit in 2 different booths. We were not happy nor was the wait staff who stated that the option for reservations at the bar should be removed from their reservation system. I agree since sitting separately was not something we wanted to do.

   Our Food was overally saltey I let the waitress know of the situation she was more concerned about getting her tip throu cashapp are Zelle are table wasn’t set after they told us it was set so we had to wait on that

   It took us an hour for the chef to show up. They also took our order wrong. We didn’t get rice until we were 1:30 into the meal. I don’t expect a high level of service from Benihana, but this was ridiculous.

   The Benihana experience just isnt the same anymore. The food doesnt taste the same and prices are ridiculous. Not impressed with spending my birthday here anymore

   Our chef was amazing. Waited 45 mins just to get our reserved table. Dinner took 3 hours.
