   Gave this location another try after a bad visit a month back. Had reservation but was told they were running an hour behind schedule. So we decided to sit in the bar area. Food came out cold, and while the protein was cooked well the rice was bland. Won’t be coming back

   Waited over 1 hours past our 4:45 reservation time. They did serve us free California rolls while we waited so that helped. When we were seated our server was slow to take orders and bringing out stater courses. Appears the server had multiple tables to handle so I can see why service was slow. Mainly disappointed in the long wait past the reservation time.

   Had reservations at 11 was seated at 11:30 Ordered & when trying to get a second beer the bar was closed Food was excellent

   The place is always good but this time the wait was 50 minutes and i had a reservation. Yes it was Valentines day but still my reservation was at 9:30 and left by 1 am.

   We had chef Gabriel and he made our group feel welcomed and kept us laughing the whole time and food was DELICIOUS.

   Disappointing Experience on Valentine’s Day I took my girlfriend out for dinner at our usual Benihana location, where we typically dine 2-3 times a month and always receive great service. Unfortunately, this was by far our worst experience yet. Our waitress was new and nowhere to be found for most of the meal. Our soup and salad took over 30 minutes to arrive to our table. We had to flag down a manager just to get drink refills. Our chef was also new, and it showed—he overcooked everything, from the rice and vegetables to the shrimp and my expensive Wagyu steak, which was extremely disappointing and also forgot items that were included with our meals. I understand that new employees need time to learn, but a busy Friday night on Valentine’s Day is not the time to put them out alone without proper assistance. With only five guests at our table (not even a full group of eight), the staff still struggled to keep up, and this was happening right in front of the managers. Overall, this experience did not meet the standards we’ve come to expect from this location. Hopefully, management ensures better training and support for new employees in the future, especially on busy nights when customers are expecting a high level of service.

   I know it was Valentine’s Day, but they were too packed to adequately accommodate the crowd. Too many people and very poor service and the food was very lousy. Everyone got sick after eating.

   This was our first time eating at this particular location as to why the low star rating. Going forward I would suggest people go to the Benihana‘s in Costa Mesa or in Encino, California. The atmosphere and service is much better there. Upon arriving, we were not seated until 30 minutes after our reservation time. Once we got to our table, we were not offered water and the cocktail of choice that I wanted was not even available so I had to get something else. When it was time to order our food, there was a specific seafood item that I did not eat, and I asked if it could be replaced with another seafood item and was told no however at the other locations, they don’t have a problem, substituting out specific food to accommodate the customer. At this location, they may get the seafood that I was not gonna ever eat and charge me an additional $20 for the seafood that I wanted added. The cook did a very good job and the food was good. That was the only thing that was good about our experience. Upon ending our meal and waiting for dessert, we were told that our meal didn’t come with a dessert even though on the menu, the seafood Diablo does come with ice cream so we had to correct the server on that and eventually we were served our dessert. Also, we went through three different servers that evening. So that might explain why no one knew what drinks we ordered.m, our orders were messed up as well as they didn’t know that we were supposed to get for dessert . This experience I think has more to do with just the staff at this particular location so I would say go to the other two locations that I suggested the experience there was much better, Food was much better, and everything was actually available and it was just a better experience all around.

    The main reason I am so upset about my experience is the fact that a reservation means nothing here. I booked a reservation for 7:30PM, and did not get seated until a hour and a half later. Me and my company spent a total of 3 hours at this restaurant, ridiculous I contemplated leaving and I should have.
