   Always used to enjoy Benihana for all my families and my birthday celebrations. Lately, when we go, it seems more busy then they can handle, long waits, then rushed expierence. Now no photos even with a birthday? Sad but maybe time to find a new place for birthday celebrations.

   Their specialty cocktails were very good but the drinks got weaker each time we reordered. We had the cucumber Tom Collins which was delicious but it was served in a very small tumbler, full of ice, so that there were only a few sips. I would not order those drinks again.

   Great food quality, excellent customer service, friendly and very attentive. Very clean atmosphere and believe it or not, not a long wait time with reservations.

   Great early dinner! Only bummer was the guy they sat at our table complained about everything! Then walked out and didn’t pay!

   We have not been to a Benihana in a long time and decided to try it out for my husbands birthday. We dined on a Saturday 7pm with reservations. Upon entering I noticed quite a bit of groups of people with young children running around and screaming. The hostess stand attendant I could tell she was not having the best night and a bit irritated with all the commotion. I quickly realized this was not an upscale dining place anymore as I remembered it. The entire experience felt like a turn and burn, get them in, get them out dining experience. The restroom was seriously in need of cleaning and very disgusting. My dinner plate I had to ask them to take it away and get me a clean plate. Our waiter was nice enough and going through the motions of serving us, same with our chef. They place is just mobbed of people celebrating birthdays. I since then learned the have a birthday promotion to dine for free. That explains so many tables singing happy birthday and the wait staff appearing not to thrilled to sing over and over again. Not our cup of tea.

    Normally pretty good food. This experience however had a chef adding too much soy sauce to everything. The tuna tataki was over cooked and the steak, shrimp, and scallops were just kind of sad. Seems like they cut down on how much chicken and egg was used to make the fried rice. The “show” was pretty disappointing. He spun the spatula about 4 times around the fork, and rolled an egg around for a bit. Not much flair. Chefs generally have some bad dad jokes to make us laugh. I think he had 1. So we certainly weren’t getting our money’s worth for entertainment.
