   Server was decent but we got sat with a group of kids who had a “special menu”. took managers about 20-30 minutes to give them the menu so my girlfriend and I had to wait over an hour to even get a chef. Food was cooked rushed and didn’t come out great. Tragic as Benihana’s is one of my favorite restaurant.

   This location has really gone down hill. The management. Is very rude and does not care about your experience at all. We had a tiny portion of vegetables, not even enough for a child. I have never had a portion like this at hibachi. The cook was rude and again the manager does not care.

   We were quite disappointed with the evening. We checked in early and sat at the bar. Despite telling the hostess we would be at the bar, she called me on my cell phone to find where we were located (10 fee to the left). We sat down at 8:15AM, on time, for our reservation but did not place an order until 8:30PM and then did not start receiving food service until 8:45PM (only after we asked for the third time). The chef was tired and overworked, and not nearly as skilled as previous Benihama restaurants I have seen. He placed massive amounts of butter in all the food (rice, meat, etc...) to the point where both our group and the one to our right could not eat. Even the drinks at the bar (lemonade and tea) took 10 minutes to receive because the bartender had to talk to the other end of the restaurant to prepare them. The restaurant seems to be under new management with new chefs. The location is nice, the valet parking fee and easy. The restaurant itself was clean and organized. We should have looked at the reviews beforehand (as the wait times and other concerns were exactly as spelled out on previous reviews).

   Love it everytime I go. Miami Beach is my home. Just need to hire more chefs or come out quicker

   Reservation was at 6:45 on a Tuesday. We didn’t sit down until 7:20. Ordered right away but took a half hour for drinks. Cooking didn’t begin until just before 8pm. My 6 year old was starving at this point. Our cook looked miserable and was not interactive at all, which was the whole reason we went here while on vacation. Food was just average.

   We waited for the food for over an hour and it never arrived. We left the restaurant and no one came to say anything, there was an infernal noise and the worst service I have ever had in my life. We went to the restaurant and didn't eat.

   Service was extremely slow and server was unattentive. Took a while after we were seated for a server to attend to us. One of the hostess had to track him down. One refill the entire 2+ hours we were there and I know he had no control over the kitchen being backed up but honestly, we were there before the “rush” as he called it and the restaurant was not crowded nor were there folks waiting outside or in the lounge area to be seated. Our server just seemed all over the place. Drinks came after appetizers and I had to ask several times for the rice bowl for my toddler as our entire entree was super delayed coming out and even my toddler’s meal (rice only) came minutes ahead of our entree and the food was not hot! Honestly I would return to the restaurant probably during lunch and just appetizers seeing that was the quickest to come out. Really disappointing for the value we paid. Also, we did not sit in front of the chef’s station. We were seated in the patio area. Perhaps the reason we were not given the attention other diners experienced.
