   Great as usual No issues with staff and food. Mgr checked on us several times during our visit . First time this has ever happened

   For Starters I drove 4 hours from out of town. I reside in San Angelo, Tx. Upon Arrival the Host were very unprofessional. Laughing and joking while watching You tube videos on a tablet. We were taken to our table along with a family of 6 that were celebrating a birthday. Menus were given to the family of 6, Somehow me and my date were disregarded. I had to get up myself and go to where the menu's are placed after waitstaff takes up after order is placed. We ordered drinks and actually did not receive them until we almost started eating main course. Family of six With us did not receive their appetizers until they were finished with main course and about to cut cake they brought. I believe they were refunded. But all in all it was a horrible experience all around, Neither myself or my date had been in a long time and we were not impressed for a $175 plus bill.

   I started reading reviews while I was waiting on my reservation to be seated. Seems like this is a common occurrence, but our reservation was for seven and we did not get seated until 730. The hostess said they were behind on all reservations. After getting seated, it took another 20 minutes for our waiter to finally show up. And another 20 minutes after that for us to finally get our drinks. Two tables that got seated after me already had soup and salads before we even got to place our orders. Our chef was good and the food turned out pretty good however. The restaurant manager ended up refilling my drink multiple times because our waiter was nowhere to be found most of the meal. Overall, pretty lackluster evening.

   Our waiter was amazing and hilarious and the chef and food were on point! We love this Benihanas

   6 pm reservation. Arrived on time to be advised that there was a 30 minute wait. Benihana's did a poor job managing its reservations. Very disappointed. In 32 years, I have never experienced a 30 minute wait with a reservation; especially on a holiday.

   NYE- so yes crowded. However they were definitely overbooked. We had a 6:30 reservation for 4 and upon checkin we were told the wait would be 1 -1 1/2 hrs. People after us ( all with reservations) were being told 1 1/2-2 hr waits. We ended up waiting about 45 min. Probably because so many people left- not willing to wait. Overheard another customer say this exact scenario happened on Mothers day. So be prepared if some kind of “ holiday.”

   The people who waited on us and prepared our meal were great! The manager at the front desk was the only downer. Barking at staff and generally negative with guests; cannot imagine this guy holding it together when things really get busy!
