   Alex the real Shrimp shady was so good and so much fun. I have us probably be the funniest chef I’ve ever had at Benihana and definitely made the evening memorable. I would definitely want to go back and sit at his table. The food was delicious and cooked very well to our liking and specifications as well. This service was a little bit slower than I would’ve liked, but they were super busy with lots of celebrations. We had an amazing night thank you Benihana and Alex.

   Always enjoy Benihana but last night we had reservations for 6:30pm, got seated 6:50pm and didn’t get dinner started until after 8pm.

   Our food came out cold, the steak was super tough, rice had some strange spice flavor. Would never order from bar area again

   Our waitress Veronica was awesome and so was our chef Daniel. The chef didn’t have many tricks or jokes but the food tasted amazing which matters. We have been here many times and it’s not always great service you either get a good chef or a good waitress and I’m glad we had both this time around.

   We’ve been coming here for years for birthdays and celebrations. We came for lunch today to find that prices had doubled. For something we used to pay $27 for, we are now paying $45!!! My son’s California roll was $17 which is just insane. Looks like we will find a new spot for celebrating.

   I get that we reserved on a Saturday so we went expecting it to be busy. But the host was not friendly and when we have a reservation it’s expected to get seated atleast within 10-15 min. They told us they were behind and it would be a 30 min wait and we agreed and the. We ended up waiting 45 min to get seated and each time we asked they said we don’t have a time, and it was frustrating because they should be able to tell us a time. And then we had to wait another 40 min for the chef to show up. The food was not that great, the steak was the best part. We took our daughter for a fun experience and not much of a shoe for her and we ended up spending $125 and leaving super late.

   Chef Alex was awesome. He made my son’s 17th birthday so much fun. It is expensive, but it was well worth it!

   We were sat pretty close to the time of our reservation. The food was good and prepared according to our order. I expected more show from the chef and more interaction as is common in the hibachi settings. Benihana is a player in the hibachi game so their prices are higher than other hibachi restaurants around. On a side note, the areas around the cooking stations need a really good cleaning. I looked up at the lights illuminating the cook stations and they haven’t been cleaned in a LONG time!

    The quality of food in the service is good overall considering how busy they were for a Tuesday evening. The service experience with our particular waiter did seem a bit off and the Cook that we had was not as much of a showman compared to some of the other chef’s that evening. All aside it was still a good meal. The prices have gone up significantly for the same quality of food. This makes Benihana more of a treat than something I would come back to regularly.
