   We made a reservation for 9 people at the hibachi tables for 8pm after a very special occasion. When we arrived, we were told we would wait half an hour because they were behind. We were not seated until 9pm. We found this very unprofessional and were frustrated. If we had known we were going to wait an hour, we would have gone across the street to another restaurant or gone home. We would not have even made a reservation in the first place if it was going to be ignored. So rude. I am never coming to Benihana after 4:30pm ever again. I did not appreciate having to deal with my hangry mother for an hour either. Our chef made delicious food but had to keep leaving the table because he forgot things. I’ve been to Benihana many times and have been entertained every time. But this chef did absolutely nothing after one thing in the beginning. He had a strong start, but after he left the first time he was completely off his game. I couldn’t tell if he knew nothing or was simply overwhelmed. At least my water glass was full most of the time and the food was absolutely stellar.

   Went for my birthday and made reservations. Was told 30 minute wait. We waited by the bar and someone took us to the side dining where we could dine sooner. My certificate did not have a barcode and I emailed your company but did not get back to me. The waitress honored my certificate anyway. She also substituted tofu for meat bc I am vegetarian. Thank God for reasonable people. Even though I did not get a Japanese birthday song, I still got ice cream.

   This has been our birthday staple for many years, but we are rethinking our plans. We waited an hour to see a chef to start cooking our food after being seated. The prices are getting a bit high to make this a regular spot. I had one specialty drink, an appetizer, and the BH Trio and had a bill over $100 for one person. We love the setting and the cooks' performances, but cost makes it difficult to make this selection.

   Our chef was awesome. But We had 6:15pm reservations and they kept telling us it would be 15 more minutes to be seated for well over an hour. That was extremely frustrating. They should be more clear and able to have a better read on their seating availability. Over an hour wait with reservations is not acceptable.

   Experience got off to a poor start as we had to wait over an hour past our reservation time. Then we didn’t have a chef at our table for another hour, overall we were at the restaurant for over 3 hours. The chef and food were good, but would not go again.

   overall, it was OK, but super expensive and the inside of the restaurant was really dirty. They pack that place to the brim. You couldn’t even get through to use the restrooms. I feel like I could’ve had a much nicer dinner for the amount of money that we spent.

    Our cook was inexperienced. The tricks we came to know and love most of them he did not do . He over cooked the fried rice an Made it crunchy not tender . He over cooked the chicken as well . He let it sit on the grill to long . We enjoyed him as a person but would have liked our food cooked properly. Especially for the cost . We were charged dinner rate prices at lunch time . This was a once a year birthday meal and it was unacceptable
