Beatrix is a neighborhood coffeehouse, restaurant and meeting place in Chicago’s River North, Streeterville, Fulton Market and Oak Brook neighborhoods. The restaurant was created by Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises’ Founder Rich Melman, Executive Partner and Divisional President Marc Jacobs and Chef Partners John Chiakulas, Rita Dever and Susan Weaver.

The menu features healthy meets delicious options, and is known for its iconic coffee and bakery counter including signature cookies, in-house pastry favorites and house blends from our very own, Beatrix Coffee Roasters.

Beatrix is open daily for coffee, breakfast, lunch, dinner and weekend brunch.

Food was terrific. Drinks and coffees took forever. Some breakfast drinks are more expensive than the meals. Great place if you are not in a hurry.

Worst service of all time. We waited nearly an hour for our mains to come out. Zero communication from the waiter throughout. When they deigned to make an appearance after we had to ask the bus boy to flag them down, we were told “we had to accommodate your nut allergy issue” which makes zero sense for all of our dishes to be affected since only one person had a nut allergy. When the manager came out later they explained there was “a kitchen kerfuffle”. So which is it??? Either ways, while the food was decent, we would never come back to this location. Terrible customer service, with many other better options around the neighborhood.

Always a fave. Food never gets boring. Weekends can get a little crazy, so be sure to make a reservation. But you can't go wrong with Beatrix
