    We were shown to our table on time. The restaurant was full and the tables were close, but not too close. Our guests are hearing challenged, so the energetic noise level made conversation difficult. We ordered wine and our meals easily with excellent advice from the server. There was a significant delay until we were served for more than 45 minutes. The quality of the food and serving size made up for the delay. But we would have appreciated an update from the server. Desert and tips brought the bill to $350 for 4. We felt we had received good value for a lovely evening.

    Always a pleasure to dine at Barnsteiners. It is our go to restaurant in Toronto. Last night we had the roasted cod special and it was perfection. Also the Caesar salad, pate, tuna tartare and although I didn’t have it last night - their lemon tart is amazing!

    We dined from the Winterlicious menu. Everything was excellent! The presentation and taste of the food was superb. We had the 2 salads, weiner schnitzel, lamb stew and apple bread pudding. We also enjoyed talking with our waiter. It was a lovely evening.

    I’m in love with the beet salad and salmon side add-on. Healthy and delicious. Never disappointed. So thrilled to have Barnsteiners as a neighbourhood restaurant.
