This isn’t authalic Italian food. This is American Italian wedding food at best. Pasta is over cooked, the swordfish was at best a Trader Joe’s frozen one that was slapped on the grill and overcooked. The meat ragu had crème. This is a regular American Italian interpretation of Italian food. If you think this is what is served in Italian , you will be mistaken

Overall good. Food and service were great. The tables are small and crowded. A table for four should have been for two. There were several diners who were exceptionally loud and annoying, which was unfortunate. You could say they were rowdy. I’d give them another try.

Wonderful cozy neighborhood Italian restaurant. The food is always excellent and the staff is friendly and welcoming. It can get a bit noisy when full, but that adds to the atmosphere. There are always lots of daily specials and my only complaint is that they should be printed and inserted into the menu. I love this place!

Barbaresco is a Manhattan gem. A small, intimate, romantic, unpretentious Italian restaurant close to Bloomingdale's that has terrific food and service. Roberto, the owner and manager , is a true professional who understands great food and service. Barbaresco is one of the best values in Manhattan dining.

Dinner was exceptional, as always. The food was delicious, everything is very fresh. Their quality is very consistent which we have experienced in over 20 years of dining at Barbaresco. The service was very attentive, and we are always greeted by Carlo which for us is a pleasure to see, Carlo and his staff are very friendly and accommodating which makes us feel at right at home. The restaurant is old school romantic with lots of charm. The menu and specials are extensive, along with a comprehensive wine list specializing in excellent Italian wines including many Barolos, Barbaresco and Amarone. When we visit New York, we always dine here one of the nights. Highly recommended!

Barbaresco is a "go-to destination" for us and it was reliably wonderful, both in terms of the cuisine and the very kind service. I introduced a friend to this restaurant today -- and I am sure that he will become a new customer.
