   Just superb traditional Argentinean food, great appetizers, our favourite one was the cheese and anions empanadas, for second course we chose the Baires plate, is a little bit of everything meat, the meat was cooked to perfection, and dessert was probably the best in town, we tried the “hot and cold cup” and the “almendrado”, we planing to come back and try the pasta next time.

   The food was good, and our server (Chris) was amiable and attentive. However, we can’t say the same about our experience with the restaurant manager. We love to drink Pinot Noir. We are ordering Pinot Noir from all over the world. So, we ordered the “Malma” bottle, a mid-priced Argentinian Pinot Noir. Unfortunately, the restaurant didn’t have “Malma” at this time, and Chris offered 2021 “Rethore Davy.” We knew that “Rethrore Davy” is a very cheap Pinot Noir anyone can buy online for just $6 per bottle. This wine is three times cheaper than “Malma.” Chris informed us that this is the only Pinot Noir they have. Unexpectedly, by the end of our dinner, they tried to charge the same price for “Rethore Davy” as they would for “Malma.” We explained our position to the manager and told her we were not refusing to pay. We believe an additional discount is in order. To our astonishment, she displayed a very negative attitude and became visibly angry. So, we told her, okay, we will pay the price you are asking, but the 18% tips your restaurant typically adds to the bill are gone because of your hostile demeanor. To our surprise, she immediately removed the price of the entire bottle but kept the 18% tip. She did not think a second and negotiated away restaurant goods procured at the business expense as long as she did not lose her paycheck in the form of tips. This shows how much she cares for a business’s success. Or, by the way, we did take care of our server.

   Authentic Argentine Parilla. Be prepared rare means RARE. Sausages were wonderful.

   La Comida estuvo buenísima. Solo que había mucho viento y estábamos afuera y molestaba el ruido de los plásticos porque se volaban y golpeaban.

    I have eaten here several times over the last few years and always enjoyed it, but this time I was very disappointed. It was 10-15 minutes after I was seated before I was greeted by a waiter. They weren't busy, with as many staff as customers (I counted). When my food arrived, it was lukewarm. The potato was dry, asparagus stringy and overcooked, and the steak was grey and rubbery. It all looked like it was cooked ahead and just zapped before serving. I should have sent it back but didn't. I had a single glass of wine because no one came by to see if I wanted another one. I will give them another chance because they have always done so well in the past. I really hope this was an anomaly.
