   Back Burner never disappoints. We always have pleasant experience there. From Larry, the manager, our attentive waitress, Diana, to the bus-boys are always courteous, catering to the customers' needs and always having a nice smile. Special thanks to Larry, he ordered Darjeeling tea (which had been out for awhile) for us. If you need anything, just let him know, he always delivers for reasonable requests. The food was good. No wonder Shrimp Lejon and the Pumpkin mushroom soup (our favourites) are most popular. They were as good as always. (If you haven't try those, you should). The salmon, like Diana recommended, got high praises. It's good, not fishy and very tender. Will definitely go back soon. Back Burner is like our "back-up" kitchen.

   We came a little after their busiest time. We were told that they were short of servers, but it didn't seem that busy. Our waitress was rather inattentive. It was "Burger Night" It's a great marketing idea. The burgers are really good and the meal is a value, so we ordered drinks and desert as well. Everything was really good, excepththe service.

   Their $9 burger deal really is the best price you’re going to get on a meal of that quality. The burgers are excellent as are their starters.

   We had really good food. Wedge salads came in 2 sizes. The large is an entree size and the other more a typical salad size. It was really good. We had starters as entrees. The shrimp lejon is always good, the scallops very nice and the Brussel sprouts were very tasty. The sauce for the scallops made a nice dipping sauce for the sprouts too. Service was another story. It was a long wait for anyone to come to the table. Then they were forgetful. Said they were bringing bread but forgot and because the other tables they had were far away, we couldn’t get attention. Finally, when they came near, we asked for bread. Then it took a long time for anyone to clear dishes. We decided to skip dessert or coffee. Just very inattentive service all around which detracted from the good food!

   My husband and I dined here for my birthday. Our server was Janet and she did a great job… attentive without rushing us. Our entrees were excellent and both beautifully prepared and presented. My husband had the surf and turf which was rare - as he requested. I selected veal Marsala and the glacé and mushrooms were a tasty accompaniment to the properly prepared veal. The Crème brûlée was a yummy ending to a wonderful meal.

    We had differ with my elderly father -in-law. Two of us ate specials which were very tasty. One had the filet and one had the Mexican chicken. Everyone enjoyed their food. The portion sizes were generous. Our waiter Adam was great.
