Al Duca was opened by leading restaurateur Claudio Pulze in 1999. As part of Pulze’s 'Cuisine Collection' restaurant group, Al Duca remains one of the most popular restaurants in the St. James area of the capital with a loyal clientele of diners. Serving modern Italian cuisine, Al Duca focuses heavily on bringing out the very best elements of what is one of the most acclaimed gastronomic regions of the world. Great service on a very busy pre Christmas lunchtime. If you want good Italian food & wine at a sensible price this hidden gem would be an excellent choice.

A lovely restaurant with the perfect pre-theatre dinner. We enjoy Gluten Free choices and there were several to try and we enjoyed them all! Thank you.

An ok place to go if you're hungry after a show, but not a place to go for a special meal. They had run out of gin by 8pm on the Saturday I went and the reason they gave was that it was a Saturday. Go figure! The asparagus starter was tasty, but not very well presented, but I can live with that. What did surprise me was that the creamy mash with the Octopus was the consistency of soup, so everything was totally drowned in it. They did provide a spoon, however, but it was far too salty for my liking anyway, so i left most of it. The service was efficient and very few people looked as if they were lingering over their meal which, i think, was the intention of the staff . The ambience reflected this rather sit, eat and go style of restaurant.

We eat regularly here and it is brilliant every time….we usually choose go for a lunch, but occasionally we dip in for an early supper if we are going out to a show, either way the experience is always worth it.

I really like its pasta. So delicious and satisfying. Waiters are also kind and polite. But it is chilly in the restaurant.
