Authentic dishes from Italian regions are re-created using Italian cooking methods and the finest imported Italian products.
a tavola is the culmination of professional cooking experience by Daniel Bocik, a versatile chef from Chicago, who brings back home the knowledge and experience of an education at the California Culinary Academy and the finest restaurants of San Francisco, Paris, and Milan. To ensure the freshest food at a tavola, fresh fruits and vegetables are selected from a local organic farmer, meats and seafood are personally selected by Chef Dan from local markets.

Every course was better than the last. Our service was impeccable. The cocktails and wine superb. Our all star courses were the mushrooms, gnocchi, ragu, bolognese, the short rib and the sea bass. And the chocolate flourless cake and pana cotta. We cannot wait to come back and do it all over again.

Our dining experience at A Tavola was tip-top in terms of cozy ambiance and excellent, attentive service. The cocktails were inspired, especially a not-too-sweet limoncello martini. The grilled portobello starter and the lamb main course were done to perfection...the clams and mussels appetizer was very tasty though would have enjoyed a larger portion. Short ribs over saffron risotto looked "tired" and dry...tagliatelle alla bolognese was "ok"...not very authentic-tasting bolognese. Over-all very good, but somewhat disappointing food service compared to earlier experience at A Tavola.

What a lovely evening celebrating my friends birthday. The food was delicious, the service excellent and the ambiance was very charming.
A little pricey for the amount of food but over all I would recommend. The menu is a little limited .
They offered a complimentary dessert with candle to top the evening off.

Amazing tiny restaurant. We hadn't been in 15 years and it did not disappoint. Delicious, fresh food. Husband got the veal chop, I had the sea bass.. both were amazing, as was the mushroom appetizer. You can't go wrong here!
