   We went for a golly day dinner for work and had a great experience. The food was great, our sever (I believe her name was Brittany) was awesome and the place was great

   I’ve eaten numerous times at 22 Bowen, but last night’s experience by far the worst piece of steak I’ve had in a long time

   We have been coming to this establishment since they opened, which I believe is 20 years. The food is delicious! The service is excellent! The ambience is just consistently classy and beautiful, especially around holiday time. Steaks are top notch. They have an extensive wine list as well. Highly recommended. Best restaurant in Newport by far!

   Restaurant was good. Got there a bit early for our reservation so sat at the bar, the cocktail I had was good and bar service was good. The service once we were seated was a bit slow and rarely saw our waiter and weren’t given bread until after we ordered our meal. The ambiance of the res was nice, especially as it’s the holiday season. But otherwise it’s a bit dark. We ordered the lobster bisque and it was definitely one of the more mediocre ones I have had in New England. It came out barely warm and was heavily lacking in salt and pepper. Would not recommend it to anyone especially as it’s New England - major letdown! We also got the Australian Ribeye, with the trio medley side, and it was melt in your mouth good! Really made up for the lobster bisque. Overall a decent restaurant in downtown Newport, glad to have checked it off the list.

   The best calamari we ever had and we have had a lot. The calamari is always consistently good. The food was good except the truffle fries were not Parmesan, at least you could not taste it. We will be back.

   Our table was ready when we arrived. The greeters were welcoming and friendly. Our servers were pleasant. Food was very good. Atmosphere was great. Quiet and decorated beautifully for Christmas.

   We were able to get a later last minute reservation on Saturday night for my daughter’s birthday, after our other plans fell through. We couldn’t have been more thrilled with the way the night turned out! We ended up being seated early, and ordered cocktails which were all delicious. It was later than we had planned so we kept the appetizers to a minimum, just splitting some shrimp cocktail which was really good. Then came our entrees. Two of us had the swordfish with citrus butter which was excellent. Two others had steak, the NY strip and the filet and one person had the chicken which they all extremely enjoyed. The sides are served family style and you can actually feed a family with them! We had carrots, mac and cheese, and a baked potato that could have fed the whole restaurant on its own. We were so full after dinner we were not planning on getting dessert but we couldn’t pass up the salted caramel gelato with chocolate chips, so glad we didn’t as it was delicious and the birthday girl enjoyed her espresso martini for sure. I must also mention the glass of reserve Riesling which is one of the best wines I’ve ever had. The service was excellent and once again we were thrilled with the whole experience.

    Disappointed this time Very salty chop tasteless Mac and cheese and Brussel sprouts Prior trips there were much better Maybe just a bad day
